Getting out to a ball game on a beautiful May afternoon is the premise for this fundraising effort that will raise money for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Why a fundraiser for Cincinnati Children’s? Well, because unlike Ferris who was only faking sick, in the 1986 movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, there are thousands of children who really do need serious medical attention.
Many of Ferris’ classmates -- in fact, most Chicago residents -- were under the impression that Ferris needed a kidney transplant so an impromptu fundraising appeal was started. Thus the ‘Save Ferris’ messages appearing on local landmarks.
In 2007, when you donate or buy tickets to ‘Save Ferris’ for Ferris Bueller Day, you’re really helping to save the lives of kids locally and all across the country.
